Did you Get In The MEETINGS Game at Cascadia Educational Conference (CEC) this year? From Geoteaming’s gamification app and Great Wolf Lodge’s water park, to the record-breaking attendance at the Texas Hold’em Poker Tournament, we all felt like part of the team! It was a fun-packed three days of 60 hours of education along with key networking opportunities.
In this technology-centric society, we are spending so much time trying to keep up that we forget that the ultimate goal of all of social media is to stay connected. The take away from CEC is that no matter how many emails you send or how skilled you are at getting to the point in less than 140 characters, at the end of each day this industry is about working with people. All the Facebook posts in the world cannot replace a face-to-face shared laugh over a cup of coffee.
