Margaritaville Resort Orlando Celebrates Groundbreaking

In late July, Margaritaville Resort Orlando celebrated the groundbreaking of its new hotel. The $750 million property will have 187 rooms, located next to U.S. Highway 192 near Toll Road 429 in Western Osceola County. The gathering on July 27 hosted Margaritaville executives, local dignitaries, and representatives from the development company Encore Capital Management, for a total of more than 250.

Walt Disney World Resort Introduces Two New Holiday Event Packages for Guests

Walt Disney World Resort announced two new event packages that will be available Dec. 2–19—the Winter Wonderland Escape and the Holiday Memories.

Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort Convention Center in Orlando, where the festivities of the Holiday Memories offering will take place, offers guests an atmosphere defined by holiday spirits. Lighting projections and decorated, colored tables will help create such an effect. This offering is available for groups of 20 to 80 guests.

The annual trade show and conference dedicated to the meetings and events industry allows attendees to network with more than 5,000 colleagues, exhibitors and mentors. There are 100-plus education sessions, seven showcase events and thousands of products on hand at the exhibit hall floor.
