Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau Hires New Executive Director of Tourism

The Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau has announced the appointment of Svetlana Yazovskikh to the position of executive director of tourism. Yazovskikh has been with PHLCVB for nine years; her most recent position was the senior international tourism manager.

“I am extremely pleased that Svetlana has accepted our offer to lead the PHLCVB’s tourism team,” says Julie Coker Graham, president and CEO, PHLCVB. “Her commitment to Philadelphia and our customers is unmatched.”

Philadelphia Conventions & Visitors Bureau Opens Office in Copenhagen

In an effort to expand globally, the Philadelphia Convention & Visitors Bureau has appointed Atlantic Link as its in-country representation firm based in Copenhagen. Atlantic Link will work with tour operators to develop itineraries that incorporate Philadelphia and the landmarks the city offers.

Bucks County Dragon Boat Festival Raises Money for Hunger

The second annual Bucks County Dragon Boat Festival was a big event executed by a small sta of volunteers.

Chris Wetzel, vice president of the Bucks County Dragon Boat Association, got the idea for his organization to host its own event after he got hooked on the sport of dragon boat racing and started attending competitions.
