Puerto Rico isn’t part of Colorado Meetings + Events’ usual coverage area but shares traits like mountains, water, friendly residents and a spirit of determination. That’s great, but why mention a Caribbean island in our pages? Because the meetings and events industry across the globe continues to amaze me with its commitment to support each other, and it’s important to share the news that Puerto Rico is welcoming groups again and is in terrific shape to do so.

AEG and PRISA Group have partnered with AEG Facilities to develop, manage and operate a new 6,000-seat concert and entertainment venue in San Jose, Puerto Rico; it is set to open in early 2019.
The 105,000-square foot facility will have the capacity to host a variety of functions, including events, concerts, banquets, festivals, award ceremonies and corporate events.
The Vanderbilt, located on the Atlantic coast in the Condado District of San Juan, Puerto Rico, makes a solid argument for not leaving the property: Some of the best food on the island is served on-site at a variety of restaurants; pool lounges feature butler service; and a spa sanctuary offers Puerto Rico’s only private Hammam, a water-focused treatment with ancient purification rituals.
