1. What are you looking forward to the most in your new role?
I've always enjoyed creating winning strategies, 30 years ago this was around a competitive sports environment, and now I look forward to developing winning business strategies to help clients solve issues. Also, I'm looking forward to spending more time with the team and listening to their ideas. There's so much to learn from them.
2. How do you think past experiences have prepared you for this role?
I started my career on the financial side of the company as the controller and then moved to the CFO role, so I understand what it takes to run the company financially, and as president, I've been more involved in the business and operational side of business. Sitting in meetings, hearing business issues and coming up with solutions to them. I have a unique perspective of these combined positions, which will serve me well in my new role.
3. How did you get into the industry?
I was referred by a friend, not knowing much about the industry when I first got into it. I was referred because of the strong culture; they thought it would be a good fit for me. I fell in love with the people, company and industry itself and have never looked back.
4. What are you hoping to achieve in your new role?
Having a significant impact on clients today. I would like to double the number of clients who have a positive experience in the future. I want to lead, motivate and engage team members, and I want the team to know and understand clients so they can provide unique, on-target ideas to help our clients achieve their business goals.
5. What do you enjoy most about the industry?
For me, it's very rewarding to see how our programs are helping clients build relationships with the people closest to them. I get a lot of stories about how we've had a positive impact on people’s lives.
