Cristina Scott was recently hired as the VP of global operations for CWT.

1. What are you looking forward to the most in your new role?

Being able to bring to fruition and propel to success the global transformation that the existing leaders have already begun for M&E. 

2. How do you think past experiences have prepared you for this role?

I have experience in leading operational organizations and in leading transformations – and experience in the combination of leading operational organizations through transformation. These experiences directly relate to what we’re trying to accomplish for CWT ME in the short term.  

3. How did you get into the industry?

I started out working for a hotel software company in New England after I got out of school; but the answer really is the same typical response as many – I love to travel, so I was/am always looking for ways to work in the industry that makes the magic of travel happen. 

4. What are you hoping to achieve in your new role?

I would like to see a best in class global operations organization that presents standardized, globalized and efficient products, support and services to our customers. I would like to see an organization that operates as a team amongst themselves and collaborates well and proactively with their colleagues across M&E and across CWT. 

5. What do you enjoy most about the industry?

I love learning about and experiencing the multitude of cultures, geographies and histories around the world.  And I enjoy bringing those experiences back into our business environment – ensuring that we provide global standards and global product on which our customers can rely, while still being sensitive and taking into account local nuances.

Robert Lowe Jr. was recently appointed as a new advisory board member of Arbor Lodging, a hotel investment and management company. Lowe is the current Co-CEO of Lowe, a leading national real estate investment, development and management firm.
