Joel Lippman as recently appointed director of sales and marketing for Hutton Brickyards.

1. What are you looking forward to the most in your new role?

Working with amazing clients and partners to bring big ideas to life. Making the dream a reality is my favorite part of my job.

2. How do you think past experiences have prepared you for this role?

Working on large-format venues requires the ability to keep a lot of plates spinning at the same time. My work at Pier 17, Seaport District NYC and METREON required wearing lots of hats and prepared me to take on big challenges and provide big results.

3. How did you get into the industry?

Planning video game events at the METREON in San Francisco. The location next to the convention center made it a natural fit for conventions, city-wides, tech and private events.

4. What are you hoping to achieve in your new role?

Consistent, high-quality experiences and production for my clients, their guests and our partners.

5. What do you enjoy most about the industry?

People that plan events carry different energy and know how to take on big challenges. Working within this industry introduces me to some many interesting and exciting people whom I admire and learn from.

Lindsey Bowman was recently hired as the convention and meeting sales manager for Destination Niagara USA.
