Wayne Leming was recently named Chicago regional director of operations for The Ivy Hotel.

1. What are you looking forward to the most in your new role? 

Being able to provide the leadership and support for the Chicago area hotels and team. Working closely with property leaders and using my experience and knowledge to help them grow professionally and personally.

2. How do you think past experiences have prepared you for this role? 

I have worked in different positions and operations throughout my career sometimes having to make difficult decisions, taking valuable experiences and lessons along the way. The experience and lessons learned will help me provide leadership and direction to the team.

3. How did you get into the industry? 

I originally started in the restaurant industry as a way to overcome shyness by stepping outside of my comfort zone. I realized that I had a great understanding of the hospitality industry, and it quickly became my passion. 

4. What are you hoping to achieve in your new role? 

Working for broughtonHOTELS is a great way to grow my career with an established company and industry leading professionals. I believe that I can help lead the team and hotels to further success. Allowing the team and myself to grow along the way.

5. What do you enjoy most about the industry? 

I enjoy developing great teams and operations. I feel that I have succeeded when those around me have succeeded. The hospitality industry allows you to interact with great people, see amazing places and advance your career.

Robert Lowe Jr. was recently appointed as a new advisory board member of Arbor Lodging, a hotel investment and management company. Lowe is the current Co-CEO of Lowe, a leading national real estate investment, development and management firm.
