Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel & Conference Center receives the AAA Inspector’s Best of Housekeeping award for its cleanliness and condition, which ranked in the top 25 percent of the 27,000 AAA inspected properties.

“We are honored to receive the AAA Best of Housekeeping award,” says Rita Healy, general manager at Sheraton Austin Georgetown. “Delivering exceptional quality and service to our guests is the number one priority. The commitment and hard work of the housekeeping team at the Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel, under the leadership of Wes Benson, director of housekeeping, is truly commendable.”

The Best of Housekeeping award honors properties in which they see outstanding commitment from the hotel staff. AAA believes the diligence required of hotel staff to keep the property ready for AAA’s inspectors strengthens the AAA goal of driving more business to the hotel.

“This award is an acknowledgement of our dedication to quality” says Wes Benson, director of housekeeping. “We just don’t compromise our standards and make a focused effort on getting eyes into every room after is has been cleaned ensuring quality control. Our staff has the information and tools they need to keep our property immaculate on a daily basis.”

Benson has been with the Sheraton Austin Georgetown Hotel & Conference Center since its opening three years ago.

Jumpstarting tourism in cities across the country will be more complicated than simply opening doors again – especially in cities with large populations like Chicago. However, working together proves more effective, and in Chicago, more than 250 businesses are banding together to join Choose Chicago’s new initiative, Tourism & Hospitality Forward. It bolsters a safe reopening that encourages tourism as well as meetings and events in
