Sheraton Los Angeles San Gabriel earned the 2018 "Hotel of the Year" award in honor of its high standards of personal service, exceptional staff training and development, dominant market share, outstanding social reputation and high guest satisfaction scores.

"The award is truly a testament to the talented team of associates who consistently go above and beyond the needs of our guests," says Wanda Chan, general manager of the hotel.

Only being open for a year, Sheraton Los Angeles San Gabriel offers world class luxury with generous meeting spaces, catering, and a restaurant and bar.

"Our chefs are constantly hosting unforgettable chef's table experiences and luxurious moments for all guests, whether a visitor or a local," Chan says. "We were also the first hotel to debut service robots from Aethon, designed to give guests directions and deliver meals, linens or luggage to the guest rooms."

Staff prepare for all guests by making note of their preferences and needs before their stay. Chan says they also strive to make their Chinese guests feel especially at home by offering a number of services in Mandarin and Cantonese.

The hotel boasts 19,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor space, including an 11,341-square-foot Grand Imperial Ballroom that can accommodate up to 800 guests. They also have a dining room for parties of up to 120 guests with a specifically upscale Cantonese menu. "Our onsite professional event planners also speak Mandarin and Cantonese to accommodate our Chinese guests," Chan says.

From weddings to corporate events, the Sheraton Los Angeles San Gabriel team goes above and beyond the expectations of standard meetings and events, rightfully earning it the title of "Hotel of the Year."

The Austin Marriott Downtown is raising a glass to the completion of its structural framework, literally. Instead of raising the “final beam,” the hotel held a “topping-off” event where guests watched a large crane raise three Garrison Brothers bourbon barrels onto the hotel’s rooftop, in collaboration with local spirit masters Garrison Brothers Distillery.

Tampa Marriott Water Street revealed its multi-phase renovation, including extensive enhancements to the 727 guest rooms, more than 40,000 square feet of meeting spaces, the lobby, and two new and original restaurant concepts by chef and restaurateur Richard Sandoval.

Tattersall Distilling reveals its first event space, Clover Club. Adjacent to the original Tattersall building, Clover Club is a 7,000-square-foot with 2,400 square feet used as the event space and the rest dedicated to barrel storage.
