The Charleston Place in Charleston, South Carolina, appointed Rebecca Hubbard as its new managing director. Hubbard previously served as the general manager of the iconic Lotte New York Palace, where she oversaw a $140 million renovation, an ownership transition, and a team of 800 employees.
Hubbard comes to the position with more than 20 years of hospitality industry experience. After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in hospitality from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh, she went on to work with brands including The Ritz-Carlton and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Hubbard is also a member of the Hotel Association of New York City Executive Board of Directors and the NYC and Company Board of Directors. In her new position, Hubbard will lead the hotel’s continued transformation and its next chapter under Beemok Hospitality Collection.
The Charleston Place boasts about 40,000 square feet of event space, including eight ballrooms, two board rooms, three hospitality suites, 12 meeting rooms, the Charleston Grill, the Flag Terrace, Market Street Circle, The Palmetto Cafe, the Pavilion Room, and Sorelle.
The hotel also features a fitness center, business center, free bicycle rentals, valet parking, and a spa.
