Situated between Atlanta and Athens, the charming city of Lawrenceville, Georgia, will soon welcome its first full-service boutique hotel, The Lawrence Hotel Lawrenceville, Tapestry Collection by Hilton. Scheduled to open this July, The Lawrence Hotel is set within Lawrenceville’s downtown arts, culture, and dining scene, and the property features two dining outlets and over 6,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space.

“Creativity, incredible resolve, and an unwavering belief in what this project could mean for our community carried it forward through a global pandemic and a rapidly changing economic climate,” says Lawrenceville Mayor David Still in a prepared statement. “The Downtown Development Authority, city council, our executive leadership team, and dedicated staff across multiple departments stood strong as true partners throughout the journey. Together, they turned a challenging chapter in history into a remarkable achievement for Lawrenceville. The Lawrence Hotel now stands as a symbol of Lawrenceville’s spirit and its bright future.”

The hotel’s design is industrial, yet inviting—its brick exterior, oversized floor-to-ceiling windows, and wrought-iron accents are complemented by warm, organic materials such as leather and stone, as well as several brick arches that frame cozy nooks and conversation areas inside. Two dining outlets, Bellfire and Old Nick’s, offer planners and attendees a choice between wood-fired meats and seafood at the former or craft cocktails, locally brewed beers, and small plates at the latter. Meeting and event space will accommodate up to 260 attendees and feature curated event menus, elevated culinary and bar experiences, and on-staff meeting planners for extra assistance.

Lawrenceville also is home to Georgia Gwinnett College, the Lawrenceville Arts Center, and the Aurora Theatre. The latter is Georgia’s second-largest professional theater, and it sits just one block away from The Lawrence Hotel for easy attendee access to Broadway shows and other exciting contemporary productions.
