Visitors to Your 3rd Spot will enjoy an innovative new way to socialize in Atlanta, Georgia.

“We are named after a concept called ‘your third place,’ which was founded by sociologist Ray Oldenburg. The idea is that everyone has a first place which is home, a second place which is work, and this third place is a spot where people meet up and unwind, convene, and socialize,” says Doug Warner, cofounder and chief innovation officer of Your 3rd Spot. “Basically [Your 3rd Spot] wants to be that home away from home for people.”

The venue blends the elements of a restaurant, bar, beer garden, and social club all into one space. Featuring over 70 unlimited games—ranging from bowling, digital curling, automated scoring darts, and low-tech games like giant Jenga, Connect-4, and cornhole—the 26,000-square-foot concept is the perfect place to host a team-bonding event.

With a capacity for just over 900 people, the “eatertainment” venue can also be expanded into the outdoor area called The Camp, which is a part of The Works (an 80-acre mixed-use development where Your 3rd Spot is located), for up to 2,000 guests between the two venues.

“It is really quite the cool place to visit for the day, even if it is not just at Your 3rd [Spot],” he says about The Works that also features other vendors like Chattaloochee Food Works food hall, Dr. Scofflaw’s Brewing, and Fox Bros Bar-B-Q. “It is a really cool entertainment experience within itself.”

Despite the expansive options in and beyond the venue, Warner notes that the inside of Your 3rd Spot is modular and can scale down to groups as small as five.

To add to the fun, the venue also has its own app that features Match and Connect, a function that allows guests to connect and meet up with other gamers that share the same interests.

For a tasty snack, small, delectable plates conceptualized by Executive Chef Stewart Rogers—who formerly worked at James Beard Award nominee Lyla Lila—are on the table. “The small plate concept encourages people to order a bunch of different plates to the table and share the experience together,” Warner says. “It is a cool way to explore new flavors, new food and connect.” Guests can order these refreshments from the convenience of their personal devices.

Differentiating itself from other gaming or entertainment spaces in the region, Warner says that the variety of activities available and the green-space atmosphere are what makes it unique.

“It is lively and has a majestic feel to it,” he says about the interior design. “It has an indoor-outdoor vibe to it so that people can feel at home no matter what the season.”

Whatever your draw to Your 3rd Spot may be, Warner ensures that, “there is really a game here for everybody.”
