Fort Lauderdale, Florida, is turning up the heat with exciting new venues and revitalized classics tailored for corporate and nonprofit events. From sleek convention space to lively food halls, there are several openings and renovations planners need to know.

The Broward County Convention Center’s significant expansion project is expected to be fully complete by late this year. As of now, the center offers an expanded 350,000 square feet of contiguous exhibit space, which is currently available for events. The ongoing construction includes the addition of a 65,000-square-foot waterfront ballroom and an interconnected 801-room Omni headquarters hotel.

Waterfront resort Pier Sixty-Six has reopened following a $1 billion renovation, complete with 325 guest rooms, a 15,000-square-foot spa, fitness center, and 12 culinary venues. Three ballrooms, three outdoor spaces, and fully customizable catering options are available. Howl at the Moon opened a Fort Lauderdale location in November, a buzzy live-music venue featuring drink packages, full catering, and custom entertainment for private events. Its in-house band can serenade attendees with a custom setlist or even a custom company song.

Fresh seafood hot spot Catch & Cut opened in January, helmed by Executive Chef Andre Bienvenu. The fine-dining establishment specializes in fresh seafood, fine cuts of steak, and includes a raw bar for sushi lovers. Its private event space includes state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment, customizable lighting options, and dedicated event-planning assistance. Seafood towers of shrimp, stone crabs, and ceviche grace the events menus, as do sushi boats and creme brulee.

New this year, Marina Village is a dynamic open-air food hall and venue set directly on the Intracoastal Waterway. Ideal for team dinners or private parties, this waterfront destination combines a marina-side vibe with upscale dining, live music, and event customization. Group accommodations range from private cabanas to full-venue buyouts, making it a stylish pick for relaxed networking or incentive events. The Shorely, a stationary 500-person ferry transformed into a lounge and entertainment venue, is at the heart of venue options at Marina Village.
