A Trendy Debut

Hyatt Centric opened a new boutique hotel in the Buckhead neighborhood of Atlanta.

The 15-story, 218-room Hyatt Centric Buckhead Atlanta opened in the commercial district in December 2021. As one of the city’s newest boutique hotels, it boasts a stylish, upscale atmosphere that embodies the area’s rich past—combining design elements from local creators such as wall coverings and pottery art pieces inspired by Georgia’s 19th-century pottery industry with modern furnishings derived from the region’s vibrant fashion, business, and entertainment scenes.

The hotel has 3,700 square feet of indoor event space all on the same level, which includes six rooms (such as boardrooms, meeting rooms, and networking areas) with a built-in wet bar area, floor-to-ceiling windows, and lounge seating that can accommodate meetings from 10 to 90 people and up to 140 people for social events.

The skyline view from the terrace at Spaceman

There are two flavorful eateries to choose from lead by Executive Chef Josh Hopkins:  The Mount Royal and Spaceman. The Mount Royal, the main dining experience, is a steakhouse that fuses authentic styles from Quebec with the freshness of ingredients from local farmers. Spaceman is the second dining concept in the hotel and is on the 15th floor. As an indoor-outdoor rooftop lounge, the eclectic hangout offers an array of craft cocktails and shareable dishes accompanied by a breathtaking 270-degree view of the Atlanta skyline, outdoor TVs, and yard games.

The rooftop plunge pool located on the second floor of the hotel

Additional amenities include a full fitness center with Peloton bikes, a pool and sun deck on the second-floor rooftop, a partnership with CorePower Yoga to provide poolside or sunrise and sunset yoga group sessions, and access to the PATH400, a greenway that provides guests with easy access to explore the city by bike or on foot. In addition, the hotel is just steps away from Lenox Square and Phipps Plaza—the city’s premier shopping destinations.
