Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa in Bonita Springs, Florida, near the city of Naples, has reimagined its dining concept—Tanglewood—into the rebranded eatery now called Tanglewood–A Southern Kitchen, following an extensive renovation. The updated dining experience features a bright and modern setting as well as updated menus featuring signature Southern fare.
“We are thrilled to introduce a brand-new restaurant concept at Tanglewood–A Southern Kitchen, to provide a brand-new dining experience in 2024,” says Brian Kramer, general manager at Hyatt Regency Coconut Point Resort and Spa, in a prepared statement. “The restaurant has undergone a complete transformation that showcases a modern and tropical-inspired setting to reflect our incredible location here in southwest Florida. We look forward to welcoming groups to experience this exciting and delicious new restaurant concept.”
The renovation includes a complete transformation of the restaurant to feature a rustic yet contemporary style with beachside inspiration. Updates include a new color scheme of blue and sand tones. The restaurant’s dark blue and green-accented carpets have been replaced with a lighter blue-toned carpet to evoke a brighter and more welcoming atmosphere. Furniture was also replaced to include community-style circular booth seating along with wicker seating for the patio.
As part of the transformation, Tanglewood–A Southern Kitchen’s menu has been completely reimagined to provide elevated versions of Southern comfort food. Breakfast selections feature the Bayou Benedict with a crawfish hollandaise, classic biscuits and gravy, customizable omelets, and more. The new dinner menu will provide a variety of starter dishes from fried green tomato bruschetta to boudin balls (similar to arancini) with Cajun sausage and signature entrees including a soft-shell crab po’boy, seared scallops with candied pork belly, and chicken and waffles. An updated cocktail menu will accompany the dining experience with selections including the Pecan Pie Old Fashioned, Southside Bramble with blackberry brandy, and a spicy margarita-style mocktail.
