“I sell fun!” says Katie Goyette, vice president of sales at TC Restaurant Group, when asked what she loves about her job. She has been with the company since 2014, celebrating her 10-year anniversary last month on Jan. 7. TC Restaurant Group is an innovative restaurant and hospitality business with headquarters in Ohio that owns and operates several premiere venues in Nashville, Tennessee, and specializes in partnering with some of the biggest stars in country music to create venues like Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar and Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa.
“Along with the city itself, Nashville’s event industry has exploded over the past 10 years,” says Goyette. “When I started out, there were no celebrity-themed bars or rooftops. Lower Broadway was already a tourist destination, but the scale and footprint were much smaller.” She says she knew the potential that the downtown area had to be a full and integrated experience, and she helped it get there. Since she has been with the company, they have opened five new venues: Sun Diner, FGL House (Florida Georgia Line), Luke’s 32 Bridge (Luke Bryan), Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar, and Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa. “In the early days,” she describes, “I would cultivate creative client events in and around a collection of honky-tonks. Now I have a universe of state-of-the-art entertainment options, so I don’t have to completely ‘reinvent the wheel’ every time I plan a large-scale event.”
Goyette describes one event she is especially proud of that she orchestrated last May when the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) brought 4,500 attendees to town for its annual meeting. “I arranged a downtown event for them that included stops at all of TC Restaurant Group’s venues—Tequila Cowboy, Wanna B’s, Luke’s 32 Bridge, Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar, Casa Rosa, and FGL House. I gave them tons of fun, interactive elements such as branded cotton candy stations and other unique, custom-branded giveaways.” Goyette says she loves nothing more than treating her clients like they are her one and only, making their experiences truly unique and true to their style. “We even turned Jason’s into an AAPA-branded bar for the evening, with state-of-the-art, video-mapped projections that transformed the building’s facade.”
Miranda Lambert’s Casa Rosa contains a 1,900-square-foot event venue with four bars and two stages, as well as large group dining options for up to 50 attendees. Jason Aldean’s Kitchen + Rooftop Bar boasts 26,234 square feet of event space with six bars, two stages, and group dining for up to 50.
“We love hosting corporate groups of all sizes,” Goyette says, “and our planning process is practically turnkey. No group is too big—whatever you’re looking for in a Nashville experience, I can create something uniquely special that you and your guests will love.”
