The Museum of Illusions in Miami, Florida, features 45 different hand-painted 3D optical illusions—not printed or pasted—from American and international artists. The museum showcases a variety of scenes where visitors can appear to soar on a magic carpet, walk on the edge of a skyscraper, or float across the galaxy.

The museum encourages individuals to have fun, tune into their imaginations, and showcase their individuality through their interactions with the art. “It is not about the perfect pose; it is about expressing yourself,” says Lisa Deleveaux, marketing manager for the Museum of Illusions.

Using vibrant, tropical colors to reflect Miami’s neighborhoods, the museum refreshes the content every few months to showcase the talent of different artists, Deleveaux says. In addition to the art, there is another interactive exhibit, Smash It!, that encourages guests to write or draw their stressors on a plate they can smash to “release and let go of anything that is no longer serving them,” she says.

The Museum of Illusions can accommodate up to 40 people. For the ultimate team- bonding experience, partial rentals and full buyouts of the museum are available, and the lobby is an additional option for receptions.
