The Hospitality Sales and Marketing Association International (HSMAI) launched its latest chapter, HSMAI Florida Gulf Coast, on Oct. 2. The chapter respresents Tampa, Bradenton, and Sarasota, as well as the St. Petersburg/Clearwater area and Pasco County. Its inaugural event was held at the Palmetto Marriott Resort & Spa and featured a presentation from HSMAI President and CEO Brian Hicks. Leandro Carvalho was named managing director of HSMAI Florida Gulf Coast, bringing over 30 years of hospitality leadership experience to the role.
