Work is underway on the $387.5 million enlargement of the Raleigh Convention Center in North Carolina, set to be completed in 2028. The expansion will add an extra 80,000 square feet of flexible event space, including 30 additional meeting rooms.
In addition, the 550-room Omni Raleigh Hotel will open in 2027 across the street from the convention center with 55,000 square feet of meeting space, several food and beverage outlets, a rooftop pool, spa, and fitness center. The center’s renovation also involves the relocation of the Red Hat Amphitheater, which was formerly on the expansion site. The amphitheater will move one block south of its previous location to West Lenoir Street.
