
Held Oct. 7 to 9, IMEX america from IMEX Group boasted record attendance this year at Mandalay Bay Resort and Casino in Las Vegas, welcoming more than 17,000 attendees and 6,000 buyers, and including its largest exhibition floor to date. “I have said it several times—there’s more return on investment from IMEX than any other show we attend all year,” says Charlene Lopez, executive vice president and chief sales officer of the Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau, in a prepared statement. “This is where business actually gets done. People come ready to talk details, explore fit, and close deals. That’s why we doubled the size of our presence this year.”
Florida’s Visit Orlando conducted over 600 one-on-one and group business appointments with key decision-makers, senior buyers, and third-party planners from across the country, and hosted the Wake Up with Visit Orlando breakfast event, where its team connected with nearly 500 planners independent from booth appointments. Meeting Professionals International’s (MPI’s) presence was strong as always, hosting the Smart Monday dedicated day of learning on Oct. 6, providing daily keynote speakers, offering MPI Academy certifications, and more.
