A completely new type of lodging opened on Feb. 1 in Sedona, Arizona. Ambiente, A Landscape Hotel features 40 cubed-shaped, glass-encased Atrium “guest rooms” that provide 360-degree panoramic views and are designed to seamlessly blend in with the magical surroundings.
Each Atrium offers a unique experience, with vistas ranging from Brins Mesa north of Sedona to a series of ancient waterways running throughout the property. Interiors feature unique wall scenes, live-edge wood, luxury Italian linens, and earth-toned textiles as well as petite kitchens with complimentary refreshments and on-demand wine dispensers offering a selection of northern Arizona wines.
A wide selection of bottled beers or personal mini kegs filled with handcrafted brews from HUSS Brewing (Tempe) and Smelter Town Brewery (Clarkdale) and served at the on-site Forty1 Lounge also can be delivered to Atrium minifridges. For the ultimate in stargazing and relaxation, bring a beverage and snacks on Atrium rooftop decks that are furnished with fire pits and daybeds.
The property also has a main building with meeting spaces and the five-room Velvet Spa that offers treatments using locally sourced ingredients. Dining options include a full-service signature restaurant, Forty1, and fast-casual dining at The Drifter, a custom Airstream culinary outlet that serves lunch and poolside fare daily.
The primary meeting space is about 1,000 square feet and can host groups of up to 30 people. With property buyouts, the entire Forty1 restaurant and upstairs lobby can be booked.
Resort amenities that are part of a stay at the adults-only hotel (guests must be 21 years and older) include a la carte breakfast at Forty1, snacks and nonalcoholic beverages in guest room mini bars, valet parking, and an Audi RS e-tron GT concierge car that is available for airport and local attraction transportation. Resort activities such as yoga, guided hiking, and culinary and libation demonstrations are also complimentary.
