Grand Hyatt Deer Valley opened Nov. 20, welcoming guests to the first resort in Deer Valley East Village in Park City, Utah. The resort features 436 luxury accommodations, including 55 residences, and introduces several culinary concepts. The resort anchors the newly developed Deer Valley East Village—the first luxury alpine village of its kind in North America since 1981, which is being developed by Extell Development Co.—and is set against the awe-inspiring backdrop of the Wasatch Range and Uinta Mountains. Grand Hyatt Deer Valley provides direct access to Deer Valley Resort, including 300-plus new skiable acres, 20 debut runs, and three additional chairlifts. It is expected to open for the upcoming ski season in December this year, conditions permitting.

“Grand Hyatt Deer Valley proudly welcomes visitors and the local community to experience this transformative moment for both the ski industry and the region,” says Anthony Duggan, area vice president and general manager of Grand Hyatt Deer Valley, in a prepared statement. “We’re committed to continuing to foster connections with area businesses and organizations, and together, we’ll offer our guests authentic experiences that highlight the best that our destination has to offer—from premium accommodations to exceptional dining and unforgettable outdoor adventures.”

The resort’s 381 spacious, luxurious guest rooms have breathtaking views of the iconic Rocky Mountains, Heber Valley, and Jordanelle Reservoir through oversize windows that frame the stunning landscapes. Designed by OZ Architecture of Denver, Colorado, the hotel draws inspiration from the region’s rich mining history and nearby Wasatch Range, incorporating a mix of materials, including metals and stone. Modern mountain design and spa-inspired bathrooms ensure guests have a comfortable retreat from their outdoor adventures. Standard rooms feature spacious layouts with walk-in closets. Meanwhile, 55 premium, residential suites offer the added luxury of balconies, kitchenettes, and fireplaces. All rooms are equipped with modern amenities, including 55-inch flat-screen HDTVs, Nespresso coffee makers, blackout curtains, individual climate control, hair dryers, bathrobes, and minifridges. The resort also offers many amenities outside of the guest rooms, including a heated outdoor pool, three oversize hot tubs, and a spacious pool deck offering panoramic mountain views and a lively nighttime entertainment program.

Grand Hyatt Deer Valley’s culinary concepts are led by Hyatt culinary leader Chef Marc Marrone, Executive Chef Viktor Merenyi, and legendary New York City mixologist Frank Maldonado, elevating Park City’s dining scene. The team brings an innovative, Utah-forward experience to the resort in support of area farmers, businesses, and families.

  • Remington Hall: This signature restaurant offers breakfast, brunch, and dinner with breathtaking views of the Jordanelle Reservoir. Standout dishes include innovative takes on American classics, such as bison tartare with cured egg yolk and truffle aioli, and wild boar bolognese with house ricotta gnocchi, ricotta salata, and aged balsamic. The experience continues seamlessly into the Lounge at Remington Hall, featuring lunch and après-ski programming. Complete with an adjacent sports green room, the lounge showcases elevated bar bites, such as brie and cheddar fondue and caramelized onion dip served with chips and caviar.
  • Hidden Ace: The speakeasy-style Hidden Ace offers a curated selection of whiskey-forward rustic cocktails like the Western Whistle—which features Alpine bourbon, apple liqueur, chamomile cordial, fresh lemon juice, and egg white—along with gourmet bites, such as fondue made with area cheeses and grilled bison fillet. Enjoy live music and DJ sets in this unique and intimate setting.
  • Living Room: Offering a memorable après-ski experience, the Living Room features a warm, inviting space anchored by a grand fireplace. Here, guests can enjoy “High Chocolate”—a hot chocolate experience elevated to tea-service perfection, complete with tiered trays offering both sweet and savory delights. Savor rich, artisanal hot chocolates alongside s’mores cookies, chocolate snowballs, and gooey baked treats.
  • Double Blacks: The resort’s streetside cozy coffee shop, powered by Park City Coffee Roasters, offers a standout bake shop program featuring house-made croissants and cacio e pepe rolls, as well as beef bone broth consommé and “dirty sodas,” a Utah favorite blend of fountain soda with ingredients like cream, flavored syrups, or fruit juices and pieces.

With nearly 30,000 square feet of indoor and outdoor event space—including a grand 10,000-square-foot ballroom—Grand Hyatt Deer Valley stands as the largest conference destination in Park City. Approximately 40 minutes from Salt Lake City International Airport, the hotel offers modern facilities for meetings, celebrations, and events, complete with in-house audiovisual support, custom digital signage, and a garage-style entrance for large displays and vehicles. Blending modern elegance with Deer Valley’s natural beauty, Grand Hyatt Deer Valley offers locally inspired banquet menus, private breakout spaces, and stunning views of the Jordanelle Reservoir, setting the stage for unforgettable gatherings.

As part of the opening, the resort has introduced a variety of programming, collaborations, and amenities to elevate the experience, including culinary delights, family-friendly activities, and, looking toward next year, world-class spa treatments. These include:

  • Salute to Service and MIDA honoring service men and women: This public-private relationship between the Military Installation Development Authority, Extell, and Grand Hyatt Deer Valley honors the nation’s service members by offering exclusive discounts to them on lodging and food and beverage. Additionally, The North Star Lounge provides a private and exclusive retreat where service members can relax and connect.
  • Deer Valley skier services and Helly Hansen partnership: Grand Hyatt Deer Valley offers an on-site skier services desk in collaboration with Deer Valley and partners with Ski Butlers for a white-glove ski valet and rental experience. Additionally, the resort features a retail store stocked with the latest gear from Helly Hansen.
  • Radio Flyer and Grand Hyatt Deer Valley: The resort is working with Radio Flyer to offer guests of all ages a fun and memorable experience. From the tiniest riders on the Glider Jr. to adults cruising around on electric bikes, there will be something for everyone to enjoy. Guests can also enjoy rides in the Voya Quad Stroller Wagons or take a spin on the Flyer Glider Pro.
  • Pet-friendly programming: To pamper your furry companions, Grand Hyatt Deer Valley boasts a dedicated in-room pet menu and a collaboration with local nonprofit Nuzzles & Co., donating a portion of every pet fee to support their mission of animal rescue and rehabilitation.
  • The Spa at Grand Hyatt Deer Valley: Opening mid-next year, the resort’s spa will offer Haman-inspired, holistic rituals and eastern-inspired services that are set to elevate the wellness space in Park City and the neighboring communities.
