6.1.24 People News Braden Beckstrand of Visit Salt Lake

In People News, Braeden Beckstrand joined Visit Salt Lake in Salt Lake City, Utah, as national sales manager, serving Arizona, New Mexico, and the upper Midwest. He will work with meeting planners gathering with 200-2,000 attendees. Before coming to Visit Salt Lake, Beckstrand served as group sales manager at Kimpton Hotel Monaco Salt Lake City and sales account manager for Topgolf in Midvale, Utah.

Also, Enchantment Resort in Sedona, Arizona, named Jacob Kipping general manager. Industry-veteran Kipping previously served as general manager of Hotel Saranac, Curio Collection by Hilton, in Saranac Lake, New York, and as assistant general manager of The Point Resort, also in Saranac Lake.

In other People News, Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia appointed Kristen Mather spa director at its Joya Spa. Mather comes to the Omni after a decade at The Phoenician Resort & Spa in Scottsdale, Arizona. She will oversee the 31,000-square-foot spa at the Omni, which specializes in rejuvenating Moroccan-inspired hot and cold bathing rituals with its Hammam treatments.

Also notable, Global Experience Specialists (GES), a Las Vegas-based experiential marketing and logistics company serving the exhibition and live events industry, promoted Jeff Quade to president of GES Exhibitions–North America. With 30 years of executive leadership experience at GES, Quade will oversee the company’s hospitality-planning service, onPeak, and technology-focused ShowTech, as well as all other North American operations.

6.1.24 Maurice Wooden of Fontainebleau Las Vegas

And in one additional People News item, Fontainebleau Las Vegas named Maurice Wooden president, bringing the 36-year gaming and hospitality veteran to the luxury resort on the Las Vegas Strip. Most recently, Wooden served as principal executive officer and president of Wynn Las Vegas, and he has also worked in leadership roles at Golden Nugget in Las Vegas, The Mirage Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, and Beau Rivage Resort and Casino in Biloxi, Mississippi.
