• The Statler Appoints Leadership Team

The Statler in downtown Dallas named Evan Danziger general manager and Jennifer Wasserman as director of sales and marketing. The boutique luxury hotel is currently undergoing a $225 million renovation and is anticipated to open in spring 2017.

Danziger joins The Statler with more than 13 years of experience in hotel management, including a variety of top-level management positions throughout the United States. Additionally, he owned and operated a recruitment agency called Open Door Hospitality for five years where he recruited for high-profile companies within the hospitality industry.

Wasserman brings more than 20 years of hotel sales and marketing experience to The Statler, most recently serving as opening director of sales and marketing at The Highland Dallas. Wasserman also currently serves as the director of leadership for the D/FW chapter of Meeting Professionals International.

Remote working has become mainstream with the continued presence of COVID-19. While many people have welcomed the new normal of working from home, others miss the separation of spaces, as many corporate offices have remained closed since March. Without the daily obligation to go into the office, professionals have the ability to travel more freely. Hotels across the country are creating “work from hotel” deals–a play on “work from home”–so people can explore new places while still fitting in their 9 to 5.  

 

Choosing a career in the event industry is not for the faint of heart. Let’s face it: Event planning is stressful. The last-minute changes, demands from clients and surmounting urgency of a quickly approaching event can make it difficult to maintain a healthy work-life balance.
