Denver-based Stonebridge Companies has acquired the 280-room Embassy Suites by Hilton New Orleans Convention Center hotel. As the property owner and operator, the acquisition marks Stonebridge Companies’ entrance into the New Orleans market.

The Embassy Suites by Hilton, included in the global brand of upscale, all-suite hotels from Hilton, is located in the heart of downtown’s Arts and Warehouse District near the Ernest N. Morial Convention Center. The property is just minutes from the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, Smoothie King Center, Outlet Collection at Riverwalk and the Port of New Orleans Cruise Ship Terminal. The hotel is also situated near some of New Orleans’ most renowned attractions including the historic French Quarter, Bourbon Street and Harrah’s New Orleans Casino.

Stonebridge Companies’ portfolio features 60 hotels across the nation, including Embassy Suites properties in Anchorage, Alaska, and Austin, Texas. With the acquisition, Stonebridge Companies also welcomes the 65 team members supporting the property to its family of more than 3,000 associates.

The full-service hotel offers modern guest rooms and spacious two- and three-room suites, a fitness center, an outdoor pool, complimentary made-to-order breakfast, complimentary drinks and appetizers nightly at the Evening Reception, onsite restaurant Stacks, 24-hour business center and more than 8,000 square feet of versatile function space.

Marcus Hotels & Resorts announced it will be assuming management of the Hyatt Regency Schaumburg, marking the management company's first Hyatt-branded property. After recent renovations, Hyatt Regency Schaumburg will be the newest opportunity for Marcus to expand its market in the hotel industry in the greater Chicago and southern Wisconsin areas.

As the demand to conduct business events in The Palm Beaches continues to rise, the Palm Beach County Convention Center (PBCCC) has announced plans to increase its physical footprint to accommodate even more groups.
