Pacific Hotel Austin LLC has officially unveiled the Cambria Hotel Austin Downtown, a new upscale downtown hotel adjacent to the Rainey Street Historic District. This property, developed and owned by Pacific Hotel Austin, is under the management of Azul Hospitality Group. The hotel is currently accepting reservations and began welcoming guests on Oct. 19.
Principal Andrew Wood of Pacific Hotel Austin, who co-owns the Cambria along with his brother David, also a principal in Pacific Hotel Austin, share a strong connection with Austin. Both brothers attended the University of Texas (UT) and were members of the UT rowing team, spending four years practicing on Lady Bird Lake, which fostered their deep affection for the city.
The new hotel boasts proximity to downtown attractions, accessibility to major highways, and a location that offers guests walking access to Rainey Street. Known for its historic homes that have been converted to unique bars, diverse restaurants serving locally inspired cuisine, and relaxed entertainment, Rainey Street Historic District earned recognition as one of “America’s Coolest Streets” by the luxury travel lifestyle platform Jetsetter.
The 16-story Cambria Hotel Austin Downtown showcases a design that celebrates Austin’s culture, featuring natural limestone and artwork by local artisans. With a focus on catering to business travelers, the Cambria offers 212 guest rooms, ranging from queen and king studios to king suites with separate living spaces and fully accessible rooms with roll-in showers. Cambria’s 1,616 square foot fitness center is equipped with Peloton and Life Fitness equipment.
The hotel also provides seven conference rooms with varying capacities, offering more than 8,300 square feet of event space, valet parking, a 24-hour marketplace, and a fifth-floor resort-style pool complete with a pool deck, fireplace, and cabanas with poolside food and drink service. The pool deck area is available for private event rentals. Guests will be treated to breathtaking views of downtown, Lady Bird Lake, the Hill Country, Rainey Street, and East Austin from their rooms.
Graffiti, the signature restaurant and bar located on the fifth-floor lobby level, serves a menu with a wide range of American fare for breakfast and dinner and can accommodate up to 100 guests. Guests can enjoy sunset views atop the Cambria Hotel Austin Downtown at the Limestone Rooftop bar, complete with signature cocktails and craft beers made with local Texas spirits, along with Mediterranean-influenced cuisine made with locally sourced produce.
The hotel is conveniently located near the Austin Convention Center, less than a mile from the downtown business district, the Texas Capitol Building, and the Lady Bird Lake Hike-and-Bike Trail. It is also just minutes away from the University of Texas.
