Reservations are open for the Hyatt Regency Conroe, a new hotel located in Grand Central Park. Within walking distance to the historic downtown district, the hotel is surrounded by shopping, dining, and entertainment options and is a 30-minute drive from George Bush Intercontinental Airport in Houston.
The 250-room hotel held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on May 25, where the mayor of Conroe, Jody Czajkoski, and the general manager of the Hyatt Regency Conroe, Roberto Intriago, helped to welcome visitors and celebrate the opening. “Conroe is a key business and leisure destination, and Hyatt Regency Conroe will add an important new premium full-service option for travelers visiting the Texas Piney Woods in historic east Texas,” Intriago says in a prepared statement. “Whether visiting for a weekend getaway, attending a conference, or exploring the great outdoors of Sam Houston National Park and Lake Conroe, our goal is to ensure hotel guests and locals alike have a memorable visit.”
Dining options are inspired by both local and fusion cuisine, guided by Executive Chef Christian Brady. Chef Brady brings a wealth of experience from his previous roles at luxury Hyatt properties, including the Grand Hyatt Washington D.C., Miraval Arizona Resort & Spa, and Hyatt Regency Scottsdale Resort & Spa. The lobby bar and lounge, Avenue A, serves cocktails and small plates, and guests can enjoy a full-service dining experience at Conroux, the hotel’s restaurant, which serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Conroux celebrates the flavors of Texas Gulf cuisine while incorporating Vietnamese influences into dishes such as crawfish fritters, corn chowder, and pork belly banh mi.
Amenities at the property include a fitness center, outdoor pool, and complimentary Wi-Fi, as well as 65-inch flat-screen televisions for streaming and Smart Mirror vanity lighting in the guest rooms. Hyatt Regency Conroe offers planners two spacious ballrooms and six meeting rooms, totaling over 30,000 square feet of flexible meeting and event space. The Regency Ballroom, spanning 14,000 square feet, can accommodate events with up to 1,000 guests.
