Harwood International, a real estate development firm, has announced the opening of its flagship boutique hotel property, H么tel Swexan. The hotel will be located in the 19-city block Harwood District in Dallas. Reflecting the founders鈥 multi-generational Swiss-Texan family heritage, the interior will be inspired by their travels and passion for art and design. The 22-story modern tower is the third building in the Harwood District designed with world-renowned Japanese architect Kengo Kuma, incorporating his philosophy that buildings should enrich the connection between architecture and its surrounding landscape.

H么tel Swexan will feature 134 guest rooms, including ten suites, each with a residential feel, European flair, and floor-to-ceiling windows offering sweeping views of the Dallas skyline. The hotel will also offer bespoke amenities, including a private social club and a 20th-floor rooftop infinity-edge swimming pool spanning 75 feet surrounded by VIP cabanas. Guests can also enjoy a state-of-the-art wellness and fitness center with a large outdoor patio that serves as a space for fitness and yoga classes. For events, a large event space decorated in a classic Corinthian style with marble floors and hand-carved fireplaces will offer 12,000 square feet of meeting and event space across two ballrooms and three private meeting rooms.

The hotel鈥檚 interior architectural details are inspired by a classical 19th-century Parisian residence-turned-hotel, with comfortable yet elegant furniture and intricate, hand-carved stone and wooden fireplaces on every floor of the hotel. The lobby lounge provides a transformable, intimate experience from day to night with warm lighting and design elements mixed with rich leathers, carved millwork walls, plank wood ceilings, and wood parquet floors. Dining experiences by Harwood Hospitality Group will include all-day high tea and martini bars, a two-story library cocktail bar, a hidden underground lounge, and a steakhouse. The hotel is expected to open in summer 2023.
