Set to open during the upcoming summer season, Marriott’s Le Méridien Fort Worth Downtown in Fort Worth, Texas, appointed two key staff members to its team last month—Chase Chasteen has been named general manager and Dawn Freeman director of sales.

“We are thrilled to have Chase Chasteen and Dawn Freeman as the driving force behind the opening and operations of Le Méridien Fort Worth Downtown,” says CEO Kunal Mody, in a prepared statement. “With their exceptional leadership and hospitality expertise, they have already played an integral role in shaping the hotel’s success and we have the utmost confidence in their ability to deliver unparalleled experiences for our future guests.”

General Manager Chase Chasteen is a Fort Worth native, bringing a strong sense of connection and hometown love to his new role at Le Méridien Fort Worth. He boasts an extensive 17-year tenure in the hospitality industry with this being his ninth full-service hotel venture and his sixth with Marriott Hotels & Resorts. This will be his first time in a role involving a hotel opening.

Director of Sales Dawn Freeman brings over a decade of experience in sales, marketing, and cultivating client relationships to her role. Freeman’s goals include elevating the hotel’s sales strategies and expanding its market presence, using her deep understanding of the hospitality industry as a springboard.

The hotel contains an ambience that marries Texan bravado and European flair, what the company dubs “cowboy meets bouvier.” It is set to contain 188 guest rooms and 5,263 total square feet of event space, with its largest spaces being its pre-function space and its Chisolm Trail Ballroom; both rooms are able to facilitate groups of up to 200. Le Méridien Fort Worth Downtown also features a convenient downtown location, walking distance from the Fort Worth Convention Center and near local attractions like the Sid Richardson Museum and the Fort Worth Water Gardens.
