Le Méridien Fort Worth Downtown opened its doors Aug. 29. It will be the brand’s first property in Fort Worth, located in the former Hotel Texas Annex building. The 14-story boutique hotel is a partnership between Blueprint Hospitality and Remington Hospitality, both based in Texas.
“After nearly two decades of vacancy, we are thrilled to breathe new life into the space with the opening of Le Méridien Fort Worth Downtown,” says Kunal Mody, chief executive officer at Blueprint Hospitality, in a prepared statement. “Following a complete redevelopment, we are excited to create lasting memories for both locals and visitors, bringing vibrant energy and timeless design to the heart of Fort Worth.” The building was originally built in 1970 as an addition to the then-Hotel Texas, but was sold off in 2006 and has sat empty since.
Soon, guests will be able to once again enjoy hotel amenities in the building, which include 188 guest rooms and suites, midcentury modern design, floor-to-ceiling windows, and scenic views of downtown Fort Worth. The property’s design blends old with new, preserving intricate elements present in the original annex building. For the art lovers in your group, note the hotel will participate in Le Méridien’s Unlock Art program, which encourages guests to explore local culture with complimentary access to Fort Worth art institutions including the Amon Carter Museum of American Art and the Caravan of Dreams Gallery.
When it comes to food and beverage, the hotel has several options. Its restaurant, Bouvier Brasserie, can be described as “Parisian elegance meets Texan soul” and offers all-day dining. The hotel’s roofop lounge, Annex, provides cocktails, light bites, downtown views, weekly live music, and event-hosting capabilities. The first-floor hub transforms to offer evening programs such as La Vie: Rose & Petit Plates, featuring cocktails and sharable bites; and Le Scoop, where guests can savor a variety of gelato and sorbet.
Le Méridien Fort Worth Downtown will be equipped with 5,000 square feet of meeting space, including a ballroom and breakout rooms. It will join the Marriott Bonvoy portfolio, allowing members to earn and redeem points for their stay.
“As a Fort Worth native, it is a tremendous honor to open the doors of our hotel to our amazing community,” says Chase Chasteen, general manager of Le Méridien Fort Worth Downtown. “I am excited to give back to the city that has given me so much. By fostering a workplace culture of collaboration and respect, our team is dedicated to providing unparalleled quality and service.”
