Announced on May 15, North Texas Jellystone earned a USA Today Readers’ Choice award for being one of the top 10 “Best RV Campgrounds” in the U.S. The campgrounds were chosen based on criteria such as amenities, scenery, and location.
“This recognition highlights our commitment to exceptional guest experiences, diverse amenities, and community engagement,” says Marcie Purviance, manager of marketing, events, and operations at the park. She cites its friendly staff, well-maintained facilities, and wide range of activities as key factors in its securing the award. “This award validates our efforts and motivates us to continue providing outstanding camping and glamping adventures for our guests.”
North Texas Jellystone Park offers convenient proximity to the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex as well as three large meeting and event spaces. The smallest of the bunch, Armadillo Hall & Courtyard, provides both indoor and outdoor space for events. Its indoor portion contains features such as a grand stone fireplace and cathedral ceiling along with plenty of natural lighting, and its outdoor area is perfect for barbecuing or bonding camp-style near its raised stone fire pit. The hall and courtyard can host events for up to 100 people. Its second space, Guadalajara Hall, is suited for up to 300 guests and offers similar amenities to Armadillo with the addition of a built-in dance floor and even more nature views seen from its large windows on three sides. Attendees have plenty of room to spread out with 4,200 square feet of indoor space and 2,400 square feet outside.
The latest space at North Texas Jellystone is The Loft–Rustic Creek Ranch, featuring over 18,000 square feet of event space with on-site lodging to accommodate large groups. Its rustic aesthetics pair with chic modern design for a versatile meeting space—the large Rio Grande Hall features artistic light fixtures with an epic staircase and is suitable for up to 400 attendees seated at 10-person, 70-inch round tables.
Accommodations at North Texas Jellystone are diverse—the campground offers many options beyond camping for those traveling for business. The Bunkhouse Rooms above Guadalajara Hall are the closest to a traditional, well-appointed hotel room and also include a full kitchen. The many cabin options at Jellystone range from rustic to premium and offer the cozy, remote feeling of a cabin getaway combined with modern amenities like Wi-Fi access, a kitchen, full linen service, tub and shower, and more. Note that amenities vary by cabin type.
Other RV campgrounds on USA Today’s list that cater to meetings and events include Camp Fimfo Texas Hill Country in New Braunfels; Lake Raystown Resort in Entriken, Pennsylvania; and Fernwood Resort in Big Sur, California.
