Remington Hospitality, headquartered in Dallas and manager of 135 hotels nationwide, appointed Brian Ehrlich as senior vice president of business development in early February. The industry veteran brings 30 years of hospitality experience to the role, in which he will identify new market opportunities, strengthen key partnerships, and continue to help expand Remington’s presence around the U.S., the Caribbean, and Latin America.
“Brian’s wide breadth of experience across every facet of the hospitality industry, combined with his strategic vision and results-driven approach, makes him an invaluable addition to the Remington team,” says Keith Oltchick, chief development officer at Remington Hospitality, in a prepared statement. “His leadership and dedication position him perfectly to continue supporting our business development efforts.”
Ehrlich’s past professional monikers run the gamut from broker, investment banker, and developer to acquirer, manager, and brand creator. In previous work, he helped secure the deal that led to the $180 million development of Hotel Nia, Autograph Collection, in Menlo Park, California, near the Meta campus. He also acquired and repositioned Bernardus Lodge & Spa in Carmel Valley, California, to bring it from a $700,000 per-room valuation to a more than $1.8 million per-room valuation.
“I was drawn to Remington Hospitality by its legendary status in the industry,” says Ehrlich. “Known for its unwavering commitment to performance and quality, the company’s culture of innovation and tenacity creates a powerful foundation that drives excellence and profitability. Remington understands the essence of the hospitality business and equips its people with the necessary tools and support to excel, and I’m thrilled to join this exceptional team.”
Meeting-friendly properties within the Remington portfolio include Pier House Resort & Spa in Key West, Florida; Bardessono Hotel and Spa in Yountville near Napa, California; Le Méridien Fort Worth Downtown in Texas; Hilton Boston Back Bay in Massachusetts; Detroit Metro Airport Marriott in Michigan; Sheraton Anchorage Hotel in Alaska; Hilton Minneapolis-St. Paul Airport in Minnesota; Silversmith Hotel Chicago Downtown in Illinois; and several others.
