The City of McKinney has come to an agreement with Notes Live (a hospitality and entertainment company) for the establishment of a 20,000-seat open-air amphitheater on 46 acres. Dubbed the Sunset Amphitheater, this endeavor represents a $220 million investment in the community. Projections suggest it will generate over 1,300 direct and indirect jobs and yield an economic impact of approximately $3 billion over the initial decade. Designed as Notes Live’s premier music destination, the amphitheater will offer clear sightlines and acoustics from any seat, including over 250 luxury suites with fire pits and a landscaped grass berm. Construction is slated to commence later this year and complete in 2026.
