The Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West Hotel opened its reimagined Zen Pool + Bar to help visitors stay—and look—cool in the Texas summer sun. More than just lounge chairs and a bar and grill, the event deck offers poolside cabanas that each seat six guests and include dedicated cabana service and complimentary bottled water. A VIP cabana is also available and can accommodate 10 guests with add-ons like a fruit platter, sparkling wine and fresh juices, and Renaissance-branded swag.
The 304-room hotel is within walking distance of the mixed-use Plano Legacy West lifestyle development. Open from April to October, Zen Pool + Bar will feature live music by local DJs on Saturdays, as well as pop-up retail and shopping from nearby Legacy West stores. Guests can enjoy Asian and Texan specialties from the on-site restaurant, Whiskey Moon. The Giddy Up is a flight of traditional, top shelf, and jalapeño-infused margaritas served with chops, house-made dips, and brisket sliders. The Poolside Party includes a selection of 12 beers served with Thai-chili-glazed wings, sliders, and chips with house-made dips.
“Renaissance Dallas at Plano Legacy West offers a fabulous respite in one of the state’s most popular cultural and business hubs, Plano’s Legacy West,” says John Klukan, director of sales and marketing. “With over 50 retail stores, eateries, and restaurants, [the hotel lets] visitors do it all in our neighborhood.”
The hotel boasts 30,000 square feet of flexible meeting space, and the pool and event deck give planners an outdoor venue with a view. “The third-floor space offers space for private events with room for up to 300 people to enjoy connecting with friends and colleagues,” says Klukan, “especially at sunset when our deck provides sprawling views of the Plano area all the way to downtown Dallas’ iconic skyline.”
