Houston’s C. Baldwin hotel has debuted its event space: Parlour Hideaway. Located on the first floor of the hotel, it is accessible through a hidden door near the lobby. Accommodating intimate gatherings of up to 65 guests, Parlour Hideaway is available for event bookings only and not open to the public. Chef Chris Cosentino of the hotel’s on-site restaurant, Rosalie Italian Soul, created a new curated catering and drink menu exclusive to the space. The speakeasy was designed by award-winning Kate Rohrer of Philadelphia’s ROHE Creative and features custom Victorian millwork and wall panels infilled with large, graphic, botanical wallpaper. A marble fireplace lounge includes wingback chairs, deep leather settees, and velvet slipper chairs. The room’s focal point is a lively pink bar, while a custom-made 8-foot crystal chandelier draws the eye at the center of the room.
