Festival Introduces After-Hours Events

By M+E Staff

Planners looking for a unique experience to reward high-performing teams should consider taking them on a trip to a 16th-century village via the wildly popular Texas Renaissance Festival. This year, the festival is infusing its medieval theme with a decidedly 21st-century experience called The Knight’s Revels, after-hours shows on Saturday nights at the Fields
of New Market campgrounds. The shows take place in an air-conditioned venue with a dance floor and fully stocked bar, and include, depending on the weekend, live music,
burlesque, DJs, a drag show, and a masquerade ball.

The Knight’s Revels 2022 lineup includes:

» Oct. 8: Forging the Fields of New Market
» Oct. 15: Fairy Dust & Divas Drag Show
» Oct. 22: Pirates on Parade Costume Contest
» Oct. 29: The Knight’s Revels Presents: Bag of Donuts
» Nov. 5: The Knight’s Revels Presents: The Spazmatics
» Nov. 12: Barbarians & Burlesque
» Nov. 19: The Highland Fling Grand Masquerade Ball
» Nov. 26: The Celtic Christmas Burlesque Season Finale

The Texas Renaissance Festival is the largest of its kind in the country, featuring more than 400 shops, 200 performances, foods from many cultures, human-powered rides, and games of skill. It takes place over eight weekends in October and November each year. Adult groups of 15 or more can purchase tickets to the Texas Renaissance Festival at a discounted rate by contacting groups@texrenfest.com. texrenfest.com
