For planners seeking a historic venue in the area, the City Post Chophouse restaurant and event space in a converted historic post office earned the Best Renovation/Best Restoration Award, recognizing excellence in the rehabilitation or restoration of existing buildings. The exterior of City Post was preserved to reflect its original construction, and the interior was renovated to restore unique features from its past life as a post office. Established in 1985, Texas Downtown serves and connects communities dedicated to downtown vitality.
