Plans for Legacy West, an up-and-coming development in Plano, TX with a current price tag of $2 billion, will include an urban development along the Dallas North Tollway. The project is covering more than 200 acres and will be developed by Karahan Cos., Columbus Realty Partners and KDC.
The project is set to begin it’s first phase next year on the west side of the tollway.
“February 1 we’ll break ground,” said developer Fehmi Karahan. “Everybody is anxious for us to start. “We are going to do all 38 acres at once. People are lining up to secure a space.”
Designs have showed inclusions of apartments, shops and offices lining Main Street, as well as high rise buildings at both ends of the development block. A Renaissance Hotel will be housed at the south end of the project, while more restaurants and shops will be in the plazas. The high rise residential buildings are planned to be on the north end.
This new development will be near both the J.C. Penny headquarters and the newly planned $350 million Toyota North American headquarters.
