Earlier this year, the Irving City Council unanimously approved a $30 million incentive package to bolster enhancements at the Toyota Music Factory, with the goal of revitalizing business activity. Renovations are planned for the plaza, stage area, storefronts, and outdoor patios. The funding is derived from sales tax revenue generated within the city-owned development.

In the last year, the Toyota Music Factory generated $1 million in sales tax revenue. Launched six years ago, the $180 million facility includes a 4,000-seat indoor concert hall, an 8,000-seat outdoor amphitheater, 207,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space, a 100,000-square-foot office building, and the Alamo Drafthouse Cinema—many of which are available for private event bookings. Nearby hotels include The Westin Irving Convention Center at Las Colinas and Texican Court.
