Texas Restaurant Show Celebrates Milestone

By M+E Staff

Formed in 1937, the Texas Restaurant Association (TRA) serves as the advocate and resource for the food service industry in Texas, representing the state’s $70 billion
restaurant industry. This summer, the TRA held its 2022 Texas Restaurant Show (formally TRA Marketplace) in Dallas at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center. The show—which celebrated its 85th anniversary this year—was projected to bring more than $2 million in revenue to Dallas-area businesses. The Texas Restaurant Show includes interactive displays, forward-thinking products and equipment, cutting-edge technology, and more than 400 exhibitors. It also included Lone Star Bash at Gilley’s Dallas, benefiting the programs and initiatives of the Texas Restaurant Foundation, the workforce development arm of the TRA.
