The City of Bryan has announced that Jamie Cox will be the general manager of the Legends Event Center, a 122,300-square-foot indoor event facility scheduled to open in late 2022. Most recently, Cox served as general manager of the Publix Sports Park in Panama City Beach, Florida.
The Legends Event Center will feature enough space for 16 volleyball and eight basketball courts, and will host activities such as gymnastics and wrestling meets, pickleball tournaments, archery and cheerleading competitions, and boxing and soccer matches. The venue will also feature an arcade and party room and be available for trade shows and other special events.
“The City of Bryan’s Legends Event Center will completely change the sports and events tourism landscape in Aggieland,” says Bryan Mayor Andrew Nelson. “We are confident Jamie’s leadership will help make our Legends Event Center a huge success in the Brazos Valley.”
