There’s a lot to like about Austin. And the entrée of Lone Star Court, Austin’s retro-style boutique motor court property, has added another layer to the charm.
Just north of downtown Austin at The Domain, Lone Star Court is a Valencia Group boutique property that’s been remade with a strong dose of nostalgia. It features 123 guest rooms, each featuring a full-size SMEG refrigerator and fully stocked honor bar full of local, Texas amenities. The property also includes numerous fire pits, a dipping pool (reminiscent of a Texas swimming hole) and rocking chairs in front of each guest room.
It’s easy to get lost in the property’s retro detail, but meeting planners will want to focus on Lone Star Court’s indoor and outdoor meeting spaces, which are available in a variety of sizes.
Lone Star Court has 2,000 square feet of indoor meeting space, but for cozier quarters, check out the Sisterdale School House, a 400-square-foot space equipped with a conference table and cowhide chairs. There are audiovisual equipment rental options and on-site event coordinators dedicated to each event.
Outdoors, the Lady Bird Pavilion is a wood-finished canopy covering the seating space of a 1,500-square-foot area. There’s also an outdoor, event-friendly lawn with 1,800 square feet of space.
Through Sept. 30, 2016, Lone Star Court is offering special meeting rates that include free Wi-Fi, a welcome reception and continental breakfast, as well as other perks.
While you’re planning, be sure to factor in some of the property’s other features, ranging from live music on Wednesday through Saturday evenings to The Feed Store, an onsite food truck, which is often joined by other popular Austin food trucks like Cupcaking Desire Bakery.
