Woodlands Resort and Conference Center Presents Natural Beauty to its Guests

By M+E Staff

The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center is built to impress. With 194 miles of hiking and biking trails, 21 tennis courts and a water attraction sure to rival any resort in the nation (including a 1,005-foot lazy river and four swimming pools), meeting attendees will love you for selecting it.

A recently completed $75 million expansion and renovation has made The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center more attractive than ever, and this is quite a statement, considering its serene and natural location. It’s not unusual to see guests watching birds catch fish from the waterway that runs adjacent to many of the meeting rooms.

The Woodlands Resort and Conference Center offers 60,000 square feet of updated meeting room space that exceed the standards of the International Association of Conference Centers, resulting in high-tech meeting rooms—most with panoramic views of lakes or woods—that are as comfortable as they are flexible. There is a 13,430-square-foot Grand Ballroom in addition to the resort’s 33 dedicated meeting rooms equipped with plush and ergonomic conference chairs, and its concierge floor with boardroom and private hospitality event space.

Dedicated conference planners can help coordinate on-site teambuilding events, ranging from themed Texas barbecue parties to golf tournaments and chef competitions that include the resort’s own take on Iron Chef or gourmet pizza.

When meeting attendees aren’t escaping to the modern luxury in one of The Woodlands’ 406 new or renovated guest rooms and suites, they can take advantage of one of the resort’s recreational amenities.

For some, this may mean renting a bicycle to explore the resort’s trails, pairing up for a tennis match, spending an afternoon slipping down waterslides or relaxing in The Spa.

For others, it may mean working up a sweat in the fitness center or spending a day on one of two championship golf courses. Panther Trail is the resort’s signature course, boasting small undulating greens, gently rolling fairways and tall Carolina pines lining every hole. The Oaks Course is another option that offers a challenge for all golfing skill levels.
