Lubbock’s American Windmill Museum features the world’s largest collection of restored windmills and wind energy artifacts, exhibiting the evolution of wind power in the U.S.
The museum sits on 28 acres, is home to more than 200 windmills, and has two available event rooms.
The museum’s indoor/outdoor United Commons Patio hosts 300 people and is complemented by a massive hand-painted mural named “The Legacy of the Wind” by LaGina Fairbetter. The smaller Christine Devitt Classroom accommodates up to 40 people. Planners also might choose to arrange private tours of the museum.
“The American Windmill Museum offers a truly unique blend of history, charm, and spacious versatility that you won’t find at a typical event venue,” says Sandra Harris, executive director of the museum. “It sparks conversation and curiosity, giving guests a deeper connection to the venue.”
