Ashfield Meetings & Events has announced its results for the financial year ending September 2016. Earnings Before Interest & Tax for the period was $7.782m* compared to £6.971m* in the previous 12-month period, presenting an increase of 11.6 percent.

Hotel EMC2 Announces its Executive Team Ahead of May Opening

Just before its opening, Hotel EMC2, part of Autograph Collection Hotels, has announced its brand-new executive team. The first of its kind, the hotel celebrates the melding of art and science through its design, cuisine and guest experience. The team includes: Christine Wechter, general manager; Brandon Brumback, executive chef; Rebecca Royster, director of food and beverage; Stefanie Rowe, director of sales and marketing; Alexander Foster, director of rooms; and Yesenia Salas, human resources manager.

Design Details Revealed in the Mansion at Natirar’s Restoration

The Mansion at Natirar will reopen this June with new spaces for club members and private events following a 35,000-square-foot restoration, which created new areas such as the Grand Ballroom and Conservatory. The new design is predicted to put the venue at the top of the list for Northern New Jersey events.

Great Wolf Resorts to Expand Into Illinois

Great Wolf Resorts, the Madison-based indoor waterpark company, has  purchased KeyLime Cove, an indoor waterpark resort located in Gurnee, south of the Wisconsin border.

KeyLime Cove will be Great Wolf's 17th location; it closed in late April and will open under its new identity in mid-2018, spokesman Jason Lasecki said.

Terms of the deal have not  been released.

A February report in the suburban Chicago newspaper Daily Herald said the Gurnee Village Board trustees approved financial incentives of up to $18 million for the project.

Corcoran Expositions has produced 700-plus conventions in 100 cities over the past 26 years.

Mammoth Resorts to be Acquired by Affiliates of Aspen Skiing Company and KSL Capital Partners from Starwood Capital Group

Mammoth Resorts will be acquired by a newly formed entity controlled by affiliates of the Aspen Skiing Company, L.L.C., and KSL Capital Partners, LLC. The transaction is expected to close by the end of the third quarter of 2017, and is subject to certain closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.

Mammoth Resorts is the current owner of Mammoth Mountains Ski Area, Snow Summit, Bear Mountain and June Mountain.

D’Amico Catering Announces the Opening of Bushel & Peck Café

D'Amico Catering has officially opened Bushel & Peck, the Mill City Museum's new cafe. 

An approachble lunch menu, new weekend brunch, and wine and beer options round out the menu. Later this spring, the cafe will fill with fully updated décor; a food truck also is in the works.

The Special Event Company of Raleigh, N.C., announced a partnership with Raleigh-based Travel Management Partners.

TMP provides clients with a local planning experience with access to global resources, customized program strategies, cost savings and 24/7 customer service.

The partnership gives The Special Event Company’s clients access to TMP’s services. TMP’s clients will also be able to access the company's meeting and event services.

North Carolina CEO Forum A Success

Held at North Ridge Country Club in Raleigh, N.C., The Special Events Company recently debuted the 2017 North Carolina CEO Forum. The planning, logistics and on-site operation of the leadership forum was led for the eighth consecutive year by the Cary-based company. This year’s event was focused mainly on Innovation and Leadership in Healthcare which brought more than 400 CEO’s and executives from organizations and companies around the United States.
