Tilman J. Fertitta has announced the opening of The Post Oak at Uptown Houston—the newest luxury destination and singular mixed-use development that caters to business and leisure travelers.

Set on 10 acres by The Galleria and River Oaks District, this 38-story tower has new design, art collections, technology, fashion, and restaurants.

The Post Oak has 250 guestrooms and suites; 20 executive residences; and a 35,000-square-foot conference facility, including the largest ballroom in the Uptown Houston area.

Before their arrival, guests will be contacted to ensure their needs are met during their stay at the hotel including preferred room temperature, allergy notifications and any necessary travel arrangements.

“We want our guests stay to be luxuriously effortless,” said Jorge Gonzalez, general manager, The Post Oak Hotel. “From the moment they step in to our lobby, it is our top priority to ensure they receive a personalized and unique experience.”

While the standard guestroom offers 500 square feet of living space, the 5,000-square-foot, two-bedroom Presidential Suite has private elevator access, a media room, kitchen, dining area, an exercise room, outdoor patio and wraparound terrace.

Fertitta, Chairman, CEO, and sole owner of Landry’s, Inc., Golden Nugget Casinos and the Houston Rockets always wanted to design a vertically integrated, mixed use development like The Post Oak.

“Houston has never had a property like this and I wanted to be the one to deliver it,” said Fertitta. “The Post Oak will stand up to the world’s best hotels. Guests will see the attention to detail we put into every touchpoint and the level of luxury they will not find anywhere else in Houston. It will certainly be a game changer.”

The Post Oak Hotel offers accommodations including a two-story Rolls Royce auto showroom; a lobby with art by artist Frank Stella, two different sized ballrooms, a 20,000-bottle wine cellar, 11 stories of office space, a designer retail boutique, chic salon, spa, fitness center, a boardroom, business center and library.
