Flavored Nation, a new live experience that highlights the most iconic food from each of all 50 states, will be hosted at St. Louis' Dome at America's Center from Oct. 27-29. GateHouse Media, along with Richard Gore, will work together to produce this event for food-lovers across the nation. After conducting extensive research to identify each state's most iconic food, 12,000 attendees will be able to taste the 50 dishes all at one event.

The Sheraton Tysons Hotel—managed by Crescent Hotels & Resorts—located outside of Washington, DC, is helping planners choose by offering a package for planners booking through 2020.

AEG and PRISA Group have partnered with AEG Facilities to develop, manage and operate a new 6,000-seat concert and entertainment venue in San Jose, Puerto Rico; it is set to open in early 2019.
The 105,000-square foot facility will have the capacity to host a variety of functions, including events, concerts, banquets, festivals, award ceremonies and corporate events.

Hyatt’s lifestyle hotel brand added a new hotel in the heart of New York City: Hyatt Centric Times Square New York; the new hotel made its debut in late October. Previously the Hyatt Times Square New York the hotel features 147 rooms and is a part of a group of Hyatt Centric lifestyle hotels that revolve around authenticity, simplicity and curiosity.
In October, Nevada’s General Assembly approved plans to renovate and expand the Las Vegas Convention Center. The LVCC hosts thousands of business events each year, like CES, the world’s largest innovation event, run by the Consumer Technology Association.
This expansion will keep Las Vegas a top destination for tradeshows and events, boost the economy, and help events such as CES grow. It will bring in more money for the economy, by providing more jobs and drawing more people to events.
Omni Berkshire Place, located in midtown Manhattan, has named additions to its culinary leadership team. These include Douglas Solic, director of food and beverage, and Paul Fazio, executive chef. Both will work on financial, managerial and operational aspects of the hotel's culinary sector.
Solis has 20 years of experience in the New York City food and hospitality industry. After graduating from New York Restaurant School with honors, Solis has held positions at New York Marriott at the Brooklyn Bridge, New York Marriott Marquis, Rock Center Café, Gramercy Tavern and more.
Chicago native, Karen McGuigan, general manager at Hyatt Centric The Look Chicago, has just reached a milestone in her career—30 years in the Chicago hotel industry.
McGuigan began her career in January 1987, working at the front desk at Hyatt Regency O'Hare. For 15 years, she worked at various Hyatt locations in the Chicago area in a number of different capacities, including director of security at Hyatt Regency Chicago. In 2014, she joined the pre-opening team for Hyatt Centric, which opened last April.
