Betenbough Companies, the parent company of Betenbough Homes, felt called to include a training and equipping center for their Kingdom At Work movement in their newest building on the expansive Betenbough campus known as The Grove; The Willows Event Center was created out of that calling.

The Willows Event Center, located at 6303 82nd Street, is a serene escape from the expected. Whether the event is a wedding, retreat, celebrations, reception, or a conference, there is a space for each occasion.

The venue speaks for itself with over 3,200 square feet of flexible indoor space and large overhead glass doors opening to an outside courtyard enclosed by vine covered stucco walls with a tiered flowing waterfall.  The main space can be sectioned off into three rooms which together accommodate anwhere from 20 people to 250 people. Use of the venue comes with state-of-the-art audio and visual equipment, Wi-Fi access, and an onsite event specialist.

The Willows Event Center provides planners with a variety of amenities to cover everything you might need. This venue has a wide selection of spaces inside and outside, including an upper-level garden that surrounds a large pond and water wall (and where a Bridal Suite is located).

For smaller, more intimate seminars, work retreats, or meetings, The Willows Event Center also offers four boardrooms complete with hardwood tables and executive-style chairs. Each room can accommodate 10-14 guests and features Wi-Fi, television monitors with laptop connections, and Zoom software for conference calls and presentations.

The exclusive catering partner, The Watering Well Eatery, offers an extensive catering menu designed to impress attendees for every occasion.

The Willows Event Center is open for rentals Monday to Saturday and rental of the venue is available based on a half or full day time frame, except for the Garden which is available based on a three-hour minimum. Call The Willows Event Center to book your next event or schedule a tour at (806) 855-8932.

With more than 5,300 hotel rooms and flexible meeting space that can accommodate groups of any size, Lubbock offers true West Texas hospitality with the conveniences of a larger city. While many things have changed since its incorporation in 1909, one thing has remained the same: Lubbock continues to be known for the charm and hospitality of its people.

For more than 300 years, ranching has been a way of life—and business—in Texas. The uniquely Texan ranch experience has captured the imagination of the world, and ranches have served as uncredited “stars” for some of Hollywood’s most iconic productions: from Reata, the fictitious ranch depicted in the classic movie “Giant,” to the glamorous Southfork Ranch, home of the primetime soap opera “Dallas.” Longhorns, horses, cowboys, rodeos, 10-gallon hats and cowboy boots: There is an alluring mystique surrounding Texas ranches.

In November, Dallas-based Todd Interests opened Thompson Dallas, part of hospitality brand Thompson Hotels. Thompson Dallas features 219 rooms, including 52 suites, two penthouse suites, and two culinary destinations.

After a year filled with uncertainty and countless projects and proposals put on hold, growth in any sector of the hospitality industry is always welcome news. But a statewide slew of brand-new hotels? That’s something to celebrate. Here, we spotlight just a few of the new properties offering planners and guests new spots to meet, refresh and recharge.
