Visit Milwaukee recently hired three new employees to its marketing and communications team. Claire Hanan, communications manager, and Emily Tau, communications coordinator, will work with travel writers to showcase the best of the Greater Milwaukee area and increase the economic impact of tourism in the region. Amanda Buhrman joined the marketing team as digital marketing manager. Buhrman will lead Visit Milwaukee’s website redesign and will be responsible for all digital marketing efforts.
There are few things more exciting for a motorcycle enthusiast than winning a new Harley-Davidson, especially when Bill Davidson—former senior vice president and chief styling officer of the infamous motorcycle compny— is the one handing over the keys. Such was the case for one lucky raffle winner at the annual convention of the Professional Convention Management Association (PCMA) in Austin.
The 2016 MarCom Awards, a creative competition that recognizes marketing and communication achievements, have given four different awards to VISIT Milwaukee for their outstanding work.
The awards include the Platinum Award for their Meet Milwaukee Video, the Gold Award for their 2016 Official Visitors Guide, The Gold Award for their DearMKE Instagram Site, and an Honorable Mention for their International Brochures.
